MEDIATION PRINCIPLES

Our mediation principles are underpinned by a transformative approach to conflict and placing adult to adult dialogue at the forefront of our processes. Here we set out our core principles which guide the stages of mediation, including our Team Facilitation services.

The principles

The TCM FAIR Mediation Model™ follows a clear structure which is built on the below core stages of dialogue:

Facilitate: Supporting the parties to engage with each other in effective dialogue.

Appreciate: To build empathy and understanding between the parties.

Innovate: To encourage practical and creative problem-solving.

Resolve: To help the parties reach a resolution to the conflict.

The model is underpinned by important values and principles. We will explain the following principles during the introductory calls between the mediator / or facilitator, and the sponsor, and then again during the introductory calls between each party and the mediator / or facilitator:
